Poornima holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, with a specialization in Clinical Psychology.
She uses an integrative approach in therapy, drawing from the following modalities:

- Working as a Behavioural Therapist at a child developmental centre
- Serving as a Behavioural Counsellor in schools
- Providing Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) counselling for working professionals
- Working closely with parents to support children’s behavioural modification and emotional development
