Our therapists use evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs. Please note that therapy is a process that requires your active participation, and results vary based on many factors.
2. Eligibility:
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and above, or for minors with appropriate parental/guardian consent. We reserve the right to decline service if we believe your needs exceed our scope or if we are unable to provide appropriate care.
3. Confidentiality and Privacy:
Your privacy is of utmost importance. All information shared during sessions will be kept confidential except in situations where disclosure is required by law, including but not limited to:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Suspected abuse or neglect of minors, elderly, or vulnerable persons
- Legal subpoenas or court orders
We use secure systems to protect your personal and health information in compliance with relevant data protection laws.
4. Therapeutic Relationship:
The client-therapist relationship is based on trust, respect, and professionalism. We commit to providing a safe space free from judgment. However, therapy is not a substitute for emergency services, medical diagnosis, or psychiatric treatment. If you are in crisis, please seek immediate assistance from emergency services.
5. Appointments and Scheduling:
Sessions are typically 50 to 60 minutes long unless otherwise agreed. Appointments are scheduled in advance. Please arrive on time to maximize the session length. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session.
6. Cancellation and No-Show Policy:
Please refer to our Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy for detailed information about appointment changes and fees.
7. Payment Terms:
- Fees for sessions will be communicated prior to booking.
- Payments can be made via the methods specified on our website or as agreed.
- Prepayment may be required for certain services or packages.
- Refunds and payment disputes are handled as outlined in our Refund Policy.
8. Client Responsibilities:
For therapy to be effective, your engagement and honesty are essential.
You agree to:
- Attend scheduled sessions or provide timely notice for cancellations
- Be open and truthful in sharing information relevant to your care
- Respect the therapist’s professional boundaries and the therapeutic process
- Understand that progress can take time and setbacks may occur
9. Limitations of Therapy:
While therapy can provide significant benefits, it cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Progress depends on many factors including your commitment and external circumstances. Therapists will provide recommendations and referrals if other types of support are needed.
10. Use of Online Platforms:
If sessions are conducted online:
- You are responsible for ensuring a private, quiet environment.
- We use secure, encrypted video platforms to protect confidentiality.
- Technical issues may occasionally arise; we will do our best to accommodate rescheduling if necessary.
11. Termination of Services:
Either party may terminate therapy at any time. If therapy is ended prematurely, it is recommended to discuss this decision during a session to facilitate closure and provide appropriate referrals if needed.
